The cherry has always been an important image for me, just recently I learned why. When I was very young I lived quite close to a place called Branchbrook Park. In this park are many cherry trees. My brother recently sent me movies of my first trip to the park at Easter time in the movie I was quite the headstrong toddler, breaking away from two grandmothers to check out the blooming trees on my own.

This pattern has been part of  evolution of my designs over the years, it began with a simple block print of the cherries and their leaves. It has morphed into a painting, and a damask weaving, and a print that you can purchase as well.
